INSTRUCTIONS: Reflection on practice is a key skill for many health professionals particularly nurses. Engaging in regular reflection enables practitioners to manage the personal and professional impact of addressing their patients’ fundamental health and wellbeing needs on a daily basis. Self-reflection is essential for improving service quality, providing much-needed support to staff, and facilitating team members’ professional development.
Similarly, reflection in collaborative group work plays an important role in professional development; self-reflection reinforces and further develops critical teamwork skills, can help frame teamwork issues in new ways and create ideas for resolution, and provide insights on the value of the teamwork experience and skills that have been developed through practice.
At the end of your project, complete an individual, reflective practice paper by reflecting on the experience and competencies you have developed during this collaborative group project. While there is no required format or template for this assignment, this reflective practice paper should be about 4 or 5 pages in total (Calibri 11pt font) and must include a discussion of the following:
• Part 1: Reflective Practice in Health Care Leadership (about 2 pages long) You will need to do some research for this section of your paper
o Explanation and description of self-reflection and reflective practice – what is it?
o Importance of self-reflection – why is it important to reflect?
o How is self-reflection used in health care and in health care leadership and what are the benefits?
o References – list the references you used for this section at the end of Part 1 following American Psychological Association (Help write my thesis – APA) style
• Part 2: Self-Reflection on Capstone Project (about 3 pages long)
o Assignment help – Discussion of the greatest personal achievement and key competencies you have developed over the duration of your Capstone project
o Assignment help – Discussion of the greatest obstacle or challenge that you overcame during your project
o Any other observations you have made or key lessons you learned during the Capstone project that will be of most help to you in the future
Submit your individual reflective practice paper in the LMS by 12:30pm EDT Tuesday, August 12th, 2022.
