As a mental healthcare practitioner, I intend to be an analytic leader and incorporate key leadership concepts and procedures in executing my roles. For instance, I would remain critical when making decisions and ensure that before considering a course of action, I compare my knowledge with those from external parties in cases where value judgments are required to solve patients’ mental problems. Assessing third-party information will help me consider an appropriate alternative option to help me address the root cause of all mental health issues. I would also remain tolerant to complex issues while remaining cautious when recommending suitable healing programs for patients. This will help me provide an effective treatment plan for comprehensive healing of mentally disordered patients. Finally, I will remain adaptable to the changing situational circumstances to allow effective implementation of healthcare programs unanimously accepted by other mental health practitioners with the aim of providing better advisory support to persons with mental disorders. .
Transactional structures including use of games in group setting are useful leadership tools that can enhance the performance of members of a team. Games engages individual effort in group activities thereby enhancing their intrinsic motivation. Gaming activities facilitate an individual’s interactions and communications while reinforcing a positive view of work engagements key to enhance personal growth. Games effectively reinforce an individual’s cognitive learning. Such cognitive capabilities are useful in solving the dynamic issues relating to mental health. Cognitive learning during gaming activities can also be used to modify and stimulate the desired behaviors for mental healthcare providers to perform required tasks and, therefore, helpful in solving healthcare problems.
A transactional analysis of group leadership should further be structured in such a way that the group members can enjoy participating in any gaming activity while maintaining their psychological positions. For instance, the group activities should emphasize more on the specific competence profile required by the team leader. Gaming should aim at enhancing the personal growth of individuals by targeting tasks that interest and motivate group members. Group structures should also be organized in a manner to engage the participant group members in deep learning and have a clear conception of the targeted outcome. The learning process should also address complex behaviors, attitudes, and emotional barriers in eliminating irrational decision-making attitudes while improving the human psyche to learn relevant leadership skills. The transactional and analytic leadership styles are, therefore, useful in engaging members of a group to achieve both personal and group success.
