Assignment: Critiquing Quantitative, Qualitative, or Mixed Methods Studies
Analyzing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research

Week 7 will focus on qualitative and mixed techniques research. This Assignment requires you to analyze and contrast quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodologies research studies.
Prep:
Choose a health topic that relates to your current practice. Your Course Portfolio Project or another topic of your choice.
Find two papers in scholarly publications about your portfolio topic in the Walden Library: 1) Pick one article with a quantitative design and 2) pick one with a qualitative OR mixed design. Not systematic or integrative reviews, just isolated studies (including meta-analysis and metasynthesis). Use articles from your reference list. Not finding these two sorts of research on your portfolio topic? Pick another.
