As a management graduate, you will be an integral part of several strategic business decisions. But before you start exploring these aspects of organization and management, it’s time to introduce yourself to your instructor and peers.
In your initial post, address the following:
· Introduce yourself, including some information about your educational or professional background and what you hope to gain from this course.
· Have you ever developed or helped develop a growth plan for a company, team, or yourself? For example, you may have charted a plan for where you want to be five years from now in your career. If so, how did it go? What did you learn from that experience?
· Identify your personal measures of success and explain why each of them is important.
In response to two peers on their growth plans, address the following:
· Compare your experiences with developing a growth plan. Identify one aspect of their growth plan that you liked.
· How might you measure success differently than they did? Why?

Hi all-
My name is Chelsey and I am from a small town in Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SNHU and this will be my first class for my MBA. I currently work for an assisted living company as the director of financial services. I am also a certified executive in assisted living and certified dementia practitioner. I hope to gain skills and knowledge from this course that I can apply to my current position and future career goals.
I have created a personal growth plan. I’ve found that setting realistic goals for personal growth are key to accomplishing goals. When I started my growth plan, I had goals that had unrealistic timelines and trying to accomplish these goals were frustrating. With some adjustments, my personal growth plan is running and is on course. I’m currently working on my MBA, and I want to be completed before I get married in fall of next year. Another goal I have is to start an AIT internship (administrator in training) to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. I would like to start that goal in 2022.
My personal measures of success include achieving goals I’ve set for myself, impacting others in a positive way, and maintaining a healthy work life balance. My father passed away in November of 2020. Every single day, I say to myself, would my words and actions make my father proud? I continue to try to improve myself and my career everyday with my father in mind.

Sydney Donovan
Hello,
My name is Sydney Donovan, and I am currently living right in New Hampshire! I grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine right by the ocean. Now I have the White Mountains in my backyard and love to hike and spend my free time in nature. I received my bachelor’s degree for Marketing at the University of Maine with a minor in Graphic Design. I moved to New Hampshire for work. I would like to gain better managerial skills and strategies from this course that I can apply to my career now and later. I am currently a Marketing Manager.
My personal growth plan was successful in that I wanted to place myself in a managerial position in a marketing team as quickly as possible. In doing so I found that I lacked certain skillsets that would have been helpful for this leap. My goal is to learn as much as possible from receiving my MBA and then find a marketing specific job with a larger company where the job is more focused on a creative design front. I discovered that this is where my passion is. I think that managing a creative team would be my next goal.
My personal measures of success would be the experience that I gain that I find I end up using every day in my job. Whether that be the way I tackle problems or lead my department, my measure is the experience I gain from my career. It shows that I am constantly learning and growing, which is a huge win in my book. Also making sure that I have a balance between work and my personal life is a measure of success. At my last job as a Marketing Coordinator, I worked very long hours and traveled a ton. It ended up being pretty draining and made me better appreciate that balance afterwards.

Hello, everyone!
Chelsey is my name, and I’m from a small Ohio town. I graduated from SNHU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and this will be my first MBA class. I currently work as the director of financial services for an assisted living facility. I’m also a dementia practitioner and a trained executive in assisted living. This training will provide me with skills and knowledge that I can apply to my present employment and future professional objectives.
I’ve devised a strategy for personal development. Setting realistic goals for personal progress has proven to be crucial to achieving objectives. When I first started my growth plan, I set goals with unreasonable deadlines, and achieving these goals was a stressful experience. With a few tweaks, my personal development plan is up and running and on track. I’m working on my MBA right now, and I’d like to finish it before I get married in the fall of next year. Another aim I have is to begin an AIT (administration in training) internship to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. In 2022, I’d like to begin working toward that goal.
My own measurements of success include completing personal goals, having a positive impact on others, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. In November of 2020, my father went away. Every day, I ask myself if my words and deeds would make my father proud. With my father in mind, I continue to strive to better myself and my career on a daily basis.

Sydney Donovan is my name, and I now reside in New Hampshire! I grew up in the seaside town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Now that I have the White Mountains in my backyard, I like hiking and spending my free time in the great outdoors. At the University of Maine, I earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in graphic design. For work, I relocated to New Hampshire. I’d like to use this course to improve my managerial abilities and techniques, which I can employ now and later in my profession. I’m currently employed as a marketing manager.
My personal growth plan was successful in that it allowed me to quickly advance to a managerial position in a marketing team. As a result, I discovered that I lacked certain skills that would have helped me make this leap. My ambition is to gain as much knowledge as possible from my MBA and then find a marketing-specific job with a larger company that focuses on creative design. This is where I realized my true calling. I believe that leading a creative team should be my next objective.
My personal metric for success is the amount of experience I obtain, which I find I use on a daily basis in my career. My gauge is the experience I get from my profession, whether it’s in the manner I solve problems or lead my department. It demonstrates that I am always learning and evolving, which is a great plus in my book. A measure of success is also maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life. I worked very long hours and traveled a lot at my previous job as a Marketing Coordinator. It was exhausting in the end, and it made me appreciate the balance even more.
