Social psychology is the scientific domain
1-1 JW (250 words with one reference)
Social psychology is a branch of science that tries to figure out what makes people act, feel, and think the way they do in social situations. Social psychology is also the study of how our thoughts, feelings, and actions are affected by the people we live with and how we think about them. Social psychologists study how groups affect the way people act, how people internalize culture and how that affects what they like, and how our feelings and moods affect the decisions we make as individuals. N. Branscombe and R. Baron (2016)

Social psychology is the study of how people get along with each other and with the rest of society. Social psychology is the study of how people interact with each other, with society as a whole, and with their own ideas about their surroundings. Social psychology is important because people act in different ways around different people. Wilson says in 2022 that the interaction between society and other people can be with society itself or with how other people see society. How someone reacts to something in church might be different from how they react to the same thing at school or the grocery store. In the same way, people may act differently with their family than with their boss and coworkers. Different things could happen in different situations, and social psychology could help us figure out why. In 2021, Powers says that one of the most important parts of social psychology is that it looks at how people interact with each other in groups. Sociology is different from social psychology because it looks at how groups work together, while social psychology looks at the person. Sociology is the study of how different groups of people work together in a society. Social psychology is the study of how people interact with each other and with society as a whole. Psychology and social psychology are both about understanding people and how they interact with each other. However, psychology looks at all parts of a person’s life, while social psychology only looks at how they are affected by society.

Systematic observation and surveys are two types of research methods that are used to answer questions in the field. Sociosocial psychology uses non-experimental methods like surveys and fieldwork, as well as participant observation (Social Psychology, 2016). According to Branscombe (2016), systematic observation, or carefully watching behavior as it happens, is one of the most basic ways to study social behavior. The survey method is another method that involves a type of systematic observation (Branscombe, 2016). When it comes to studies, these methods help the scientists find the things they are looking for. Scientists and people in other fields use surveys to find out things like how happy people are around the world and how people feel about new products (Branscombe, 2016). Empirical research is a way to learn about something through both direct and indirect experience or observation. It is based on facts instead of faith. Empirical research is the best way to do a study because it covers all the bases. This study gives psychologists a chance to look at results that could not have been found or predicted by intuition before the study.
