The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP) in reducing relapse rates in opioid-dependent patients.

The study included 70 patients who were randomly assigned to either the MBRP group or the control group. The MBRP group received an eight-week intervention that included mindfulness meditation and group therapy, while the control group received usual care. The primary outcome measure was the relapse rate at 12 weeks after the intervention.
